heatray5d: (fukkin' head!)
Well, the battery in my laptop died while I was in the middle of writing about a robot fight. So now I'm sort of sitting here in my mom's house, reading comics and waiting for her to come home so that I can eat breakfast. I'm very, very hungry, and I may die soon.

I wanted to tell you all about a pair of metaphors made by a friend of mine on the train a few days ago. My friend Chris is taking a life-drawing class somewhere. He's a bit genital-shy, and is regularly scandalized by the bits on display by his models.

Earlier this week, his model was a woman in her sixties. Apparently, at some point, she dropped something, and bent at the waist to pick it up off the floor, revealing a spectacle he described as "like watching Snuffleupagus clap."

Another friend asked him if it was an "oyster convention," to which he replied, "Yes, if one of the oysters was doing a Magnum P.I. impersonation."

I don't know what any of that means, but it makes me glad I can't draw.
