my commute

Every day, I ride from my place in east Cambridge to South Station. Part of the ride takes me along this short path from Binney to Kendall Square that's lined with benches. At any given time of the day, there are usually one or two homeless folks taking a break from their busy schedules on these benches. For some reason, I'm paranoid that one of these days one of them is just going to dive-tackle me as I ride past.

I ride pretty slow along the path since it's often got a lot of pedestrians on it too, but even so, all I can think about is how much it would hurt to get hit from the side like that while riding.

I sent a story in to Scifi.com's fiction area, just for the hell of it. I referenced Mansquito in the cover letter. I hope the editor thinks I'm funny instead of a jerk. Scifi.com has some pretty good fiction; you should check it out.

I also got a rejection from SF Weekly's published on my application for their video game columnist position. I rushed through the writing samples, which I'll post in a few minutes, so I'm not surprised.

Also, I posted my review of Zombiez to Netflix. Those of you with Netflix memberships should go mark it as helpful, and tell your friends to do the same, because that would be funny. It should be easy to find. It's the only one with five stars as the rating.
